Features
The Lenovo Tab P11 comes equipped with a good feature set, and here are the results we found with our testing:
Android Experience – The Tab P11 runs on the latest and greatest Android 10 release and would be updated with the Android 11 update as soon as it is released with a stable update from Lenovo. This makes the tablet future-proof and ready for anything you can throw at it, but the lack of Android 12 support can be a bummer for some people.
Large Display – It comes with an 11-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2000×1200, which is decent, but the colors can feel a little washed out compared to other displays from competitors. However, the large size makes it ideal for gaming, productivity, and media consumption.
Excellent Processor – Lenovo’s Tab P11 is equipped with an Octa-core 11-nm Snapdragon 662 SOC and can get up to 2.3GHz speeds. Hence, it delivers superior performance for the price tag and performs admirably at any game or productivity application.
Decent Cameras – It features a 13MP 1080P primary sensor that clicks good photos, but it lacks video recording stability and an 8MP 1080P wide secondary sensor that delivers an excellent video calling experience. So, it is perfect for calls and work meetings with excellent audio from the dual-array microphones.
Audio Experience – The Tab comes with four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers that can deliver some fantastic audio experience and works well as a media machine that can stream Netflix and other platforms on the go. However, it doesn’t have an audio jack which can be a bummer for some people.
Battery Life – The tablet comes equipped with a 7700mAh cell that can quickly deliver an all-day battery life, and it also supports the quick charging standard from Qualcomm over a USB-C interface for future-proofing.
Build Quality – The 7.5mm aluminum body feels good in the hand due to its comparatively low weight of 490 grams and rounded corners. In addition, a rubberized layer covers about a third of the backside over the entire length of the body, which provides additional grip to the user. This makes it great for durability and helps the user by delivering a great build experience.
Additional Features – The tablet comes equipped with various sensors such as the accelerometer, gyro sensor and proximity sensor. It also supports a Nano-SIM and a microSDXC card, which can help expand its standard 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The Tab A7 has some notable features which can make or break the Lenovo Tab P11 purchase, and they are:
The Better Screen – Comparing both the displays, we recommend that you get the Lenovo Tab P11 as it matches Samsung’s display spec by spec and beats it by a larger 11-inch panel. However, if you like the punchy colors that Samsung devices provide, then get the Galaxy Tab A7.
Equal Performance – Both the devices come with the Snapdragon 662, and you can expect similar performance on both. However, you get more RAM on The Tab P11, so you have better multitasking capabilities with it.
Better Camera – The Tab P11 by Lenovo has a 13MP and 8MP sensor array which downright beats the Samsung 8MP and 5MP sensor array. So, if you do many video calls and shoot photos with your tablet, then The Lenovo P11 is the only choice.
OS and Security Updates – Lenovo has been notoriously bad with updates, and it shows with their devices. On the other hand, Samsung’s One UI is constantly updated to bring more features and security patches for most of the devices. So, if updates are something that you consider, then get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7.
Gaming Experience – Both the devices come with the same chip and render on the same resolution of 2000×1200, so you will see no difference in gaming performance on either. Hence, getting any device would be fine.
So, which one should you get?
Looking at the numbers and features, we recommend you go for the Lenovo Tab P11. It is released in 2021 and has better RAM management and a better display, making it suitable for many people without sacrificing much.
What should you look after when looking for a tablet in this price range?
There are a few things that you should take a note of before buying a device at this price range, and they are:
Build Quality – Look for decent build quality devices that are sturdy and can last you a long time.
Performance – Expect to see some great octa-core processors for decent performance.
Storage and RAM – Get a minimum of 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Display – Get a minimum of 1080P resolution with a 10-inch of screen size panel.
Sound Quality – Expect some good-sounding speakers to round off your media experience.
Battery – Look for devices with all-day battery life.
Note: These are just basic recommendations and if you get anything better at the price range, then get that.
Final Verdict
In conclusion, the Lenovo Tab P11 is an excellent device for the price and should be your primary choice to get if you’re looking to get into the android tablet ecosystem. It delivers superior performance and a media experience not rivaled by others at the price tag. Furthermore, it is sturdy enough to last you a long time, but it still has some flaws to take note of.
Notably, the issues with Android updates and washed-out colors, but if that doesn’t concern you much and if you need an everyday media device or a secondary productivity machine, then the P11 makes for the ideal choice for many people.

After reading the specs for this tablet from other sources I was under the impression that the screen resolution was 2000X1200 (2K), not 1200X1200 as stated in this review. Otherwise a very informative review… Martin
Martin, good catch! Thank you, I’ve fixed the error and thank you for the kind words.
I would like to know if I purchase this tablet today which is May 2022, will be secure for me to do online banking, and for how many years to come would it be safe? I now have a Samsung which is 6 years old. I am also wondering if the Lenovo tab p 11 comes with apps such as PowerPoint, word, Excel, or Outlook? Does the tab P11 also have the swipe to take a picture of whats on the screen? Would $350 Canadian (excluding tax) (tab p11! 4gb, 64gb, with keyboard and pen) be a fair price in May 2022?Thank you, from me, the tablet dummy.
Hi Elonda! Interesting questions you have there! Yes, you can definitely use the Lenovo Tab P11 for online banking. However, it is highly recommended to avoid using public Wifi networks when doing online banking as these public networks are prone to hacking. P11 doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner so it’s best to use private networks all the time for extra security. You would also need to get the Microsoft 360 subscription if you want to have Microsoft Office apps installed in your P11. With excellent specs, larger display, and great battery life of the P11 (as compared to other tablets in the same price range), I think $350 Canadian is a fairly solid price. I’ve added a link to Amazon in the article above where I see some going for around $250 USD. Best of luck with your tablet purchase! 🙂
