Looking to get a great Android Tablet for yourself or your family? Well, if Lenovo isn’t on your mind, then you’re missing out. The recently released Yoga Tab 11 and the Yoga Tab 13 from Lenovo are some of the best tablets on the market and come with an unmatched experience.

So, instead of sticking to a single brand for all your devices, experimenting with others might just get you a better deal and a better device that would be perfect for your use case. Both of the Yoga tablets are great options to have, but which one is suitable for you? Well, let’s find out.

What’s in the box?

Removing the charger is probably the worst move that most companies are doing. While it is “technically” better for the environment, there is a lot more waste generated if you do indeed buy a separate charger. However, Lenovo hasn’t followed the same shift and kept the charger included. Here’s all that you will get in the Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 or 13 boxes:

  • The tablet itself (Yoga Tab 11 or Yoga Tab 13)
  • A standard 20W charger (for the Tab 11) or A standard 30W charger (for the Tab 13)
  • A USB-C to USB-C cable
  • Lenovo Precision Pen 2 (only with the Yoga Tab 11 Combo Package)

Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 – The Perfect Home/School Tablet

Lenovo’s new Yoga Tab 11 is the perfect home/school tablet. With a sturdy kickstand, a robust design, and great performance, the Yoga Tab 11 provides immense value as a back-to-school tablet. It has decent specs all around, from a strong mid-range processor to a beautiful 11-inch display.

You can take it anywhere due to the small portable form factor, and it can be used anywhere due to the innovative kickstand/hanger. It also works with the Precision Pen 2 from Lenovo and is perfect for note-taking and drawing. Thus, making it ideal for school with its incredible battery life. The build is also covered with a soft-touch finish that makes it kid-friendly and a great family device.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 – The Powerhouse Work/Gaming Tablet

Just looking at both the Lenovo Yoga tablets, you will immediately be able to notice the Yoga 13 to be a more premium device. This is due to the sturdy Alcantara build that also feels comfortable and premium to hold.

The extra cost brings extra benefits to the table. It has a much more premium processor with the Adreno 650 GPU and 8GB RAM that helps make it perform all tasks with ease. The bigger, brighter screen also helps it perform better while gaming or at any productivity-related work. So, if you’re looking for the best performing tablet between the two, then the Yoga 13 is the ideal choice.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 vs. Lenovo Yoga Tab 13: Which should you Buy?

The Yoga tablets have their plus points and weaknesses, making them excellent and bad for specific scenarios and different people. Where the Tab 11 is perfect as a back-to-school device, the Tab 13 excels at gaming and productivity. So, let’s compare the two and see which one you should be buying.

Price

As you should already know by now, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is a much more powerful and premium device in comparison to the Lenovo Yoga Tab 11. The Yoga Tab 11 is a better budget-friendly device, where the Tab 13 is perfect for working professionals or gamers alike.

The Yoga Tab 11 is priced at $320 or $360 for the combo pen package. Whereas the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is priced at $680, which essentially doubles the cost.

Draw – Both the devices are meant for separate work cases and different people. So, the price is subjective and would depend on what kind of device you’re looking for.

Performance

Performance is where the Tab 13 excels at. While the performance of the MediaTek Helio G90T Octa-Core processor of the Tab 11 isn’t shabby, it doesn’t hold a candle against the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 Octa-Core SOC.

So, if performance and productivity are essential and the most crucial aspect for you, then get the Tab 13, but if that’s not the case and all you need is a budget-friendly tablet that can do all the daily tasks without struggling, then get the Tab 11.

Winner – Lenovo Yoga Tab 13

Build Quality

The Lenovo Tab 13 is made with a plastic unibody design that houses a metal kickstand/hanger and an Alcantara finish on the back. It is much more premium and perfect for a work aesthetic. The build feels solid and robust and will definitely last you a long time. However, the Alcantara back does collect a lot of dust which can be annoying if you like a clean tablet.

Perfect for school and a media streaming device, the Lenovo Tab 11 is too made with a plastic body and is finished in Storm Grey fabric that is soft to the touch. It also has a metal hinge kickstand/hanger for ease of use. This makes the tablet durable and much more comfortable for the end-user. Hence, making it perfect for kids and others alike.

Draw – Both the tablets have an excellent build quality and a fantastic design aesthetic.

Display

The Lenovo Tab 11 comes with an 11-inch (2,000×1,200) IPS panel that goes up to 360-nits of brightness. It is great and delivers a fantastic media experience with HDR10 support. It also works with the Precision Pen 2, perfect for taking notes or doing some sketches on the fly. So, if you don’t mind the smaller screen and the lower brightness, get the Lenovo Yoga Tab 11.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 has a more prominent, better display. It comes with a 13-inch (2,160×1,350) LTPS panel that goes up to 400-nits of brightness. Perfect for outdoor viewing, gaming, and a fantastic HDR streaming experience, the tablet makes for an incredible device. It can also be used to edit videos and other productivity tasks, and the larger display makes everything look better.

Winner – Lenovo Yoga Tab 13

Battery Life

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 has a 7700mAh battery that has is 20W Quick charge compatible, whereas the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 has a 10000mAh battery that is 30W Quick charge compatible. Looking at the bare specs, the Yoga Tab 13 takes the win.

However, with a more power-hungry chip and a brighter display, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 manages 13-14 hours of SOT, whereas the Yoga Tab 11 can run longer and manages to get a consistent 14-15 hours of SOT. The lower-powered chip and the slightly dimmer display help it get a better battery life, and hence it takes the win.
